Dragan Veselinov is a Serbian politician and academic born on May 3, 1950. He is affiliated with the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Belgrade. As the president of the People's Peasant Party, founded in 1990, he opposed the nationalist policies of Slobodan Milošević in the 1990s. Veselinov served as Minister of Agriculture from 2001 to 2003 under Prime Ministers Zoran Đinđić and Zoran Živković but resigned due to public pressure after a tragic accident involving his government vehicle.
