Drago Golob was a Slovenian oboist born on October 1, 1937, in Maribor. He studied at the Academy of Music in Zagreb and the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, graduating in 1961. Golob served as the principal oboist for the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra until his retirement in 2005. He collaborated with various musical ensembles as a chamber musician and was a member of Slavko Osterc and Collegium musicum. Additionally, Golob was a lecturer at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana.
