Drago Jerman was a Slovenian officer and a national hero who served as a major general in the Yugoslav People's Army. He was a partizan and first fighter born on August 15, 1919, in Naklo near Črnomelj. He joined the National Liberation Movement in August 1941, quickly rising through the ranks due to his capabilities as a courageous combatant. He commanded the 12th Slovenian National Liberation Brigade in 1944 and served as an operational officer on the main staff of Slovenia at the war's end. He received the title of National Hero in 1953.
