Drago Vidmar was a Slovenian painter and graphic artist born on January 25, 1901, in Šapjane near Opatija. He was the younger brother of painter Ferdinand Vidmar. Vidmar's work primarily revolved around peasant figurines, initially influenced by expressionism and the new realism. He was also a significant creator of partisan art and contributed to themes related to the Liberation Front. In recognition of his contributions to the arts, he received the Prešeren Award in 1978.
