He holds the world record in the short course 4×200 meter freestyle relay and formerly held the American record in the 4×200 yard freestyle relay. Kibler won gold medals at both the 2022 World Aquatics Championships and the 2022 World Short Course Championships. He also earned silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics and placed fourth in the 200 meter freestyle events at the 2022 championships. He is a three-time NCAA champion in the 4×200 yard freestyle relay.
