Drew Walter Peterson, born January 5, 1954, is a convicted murderer and former police sergeant from Bolingbrook, Illinois. He gained national attention in 2007 after the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Ann Cales Peterson. In 2012, he was convicted for the murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, whose body was found in 2004. Initially ruled an accidental drowning, a second autopsy led to Peterson's indictment. He was sentenced to 38 years in prison and later received additional charges for solicitation of murder. Peterson has been transferred to different correctional facilities since his conviction.
