Dries van den Akker was a Dutch Jesuit priest, theologian, teacher, author, and expert on saints. He joined the Jesuits in 1964 and studied philosophy in Nijmegen. He was ordained in 1976 and worked as a religion teacher before becoming a lecturer in philosophy at Stanislascollege in Delft until his retirement. In 2020, he published a book titled 'Ga anders denken' about the Gospel of Mark. He lived in Jesuit communities until his death in 2022. He contributed significantly to theology and education throughout his life.
