Dronamraju Krishna Rao was an Indian-born geneticist known for his contributions to the field of genetics. Born on 14 January 1937 in Pithapuram, Andhra Pradesh, India, he served as the president of the Foundation for Genetic Research in Houston, Texas. His research was influenced by his mentor J. B. S. Haldane. Dronamraju authored several works and is commonly referred to as Krishna R. Dronamraju. He passed away in Houston on 3 December 2020, at the age of 83.
