Duane Calvin Acker (born March 13, 1931) is an American academic known for his leadership as president of Kansas State University from 1975 to 1986. He holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in animal husbandry and has taught at various universities including Iowa State, Kansas State, South Dakota State, and the University of Nebraska. Acker also served in key administrative roles in the U.S. government, including as administrator of International Cooperation and Development and as assistant secretary of USDA for Science and Education.
