Dumitru Paraschivescu was a Romanian racewalker born on April 18, 1923, in Bucharest. He was notable for being the flag bearer for Romania during the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, where he finished seventh in the 50 km walk. He also competed in the 1956 Melbourne Olympics, achieving 14th place in the 20 km walk but did not finish the 50 km event. Paraschivescu won a bronze medal in the 20 km walk at the 1955 World Festival of Youth and Students.
