Dupa, the pseudonym of Luc Dupanloup, was a Belgian comic artist and author, born on February 12, 1945, in Montignies-sur-Sambre, Belgium, and passed away on November 8, 2000. He is best known for creating the character Cubitus, a fluffy white dog. Dupanloup studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels during the 1960s and worked as an assistant to the comic artist Michel Régnier. He joined the magazine Tintin in 1966 and developed the Cubitus character two years later. He died at the age of 55 from a stroke.
