She served as the political secretary to Lim Kit Siang, a prominent leader in the Democratic Action Party (DAP). Dyana is a columnist for both The Malay Mail Online and Sinar Harian. She authored a book titled 'Di Sini Bermula', which compiles her articles. After returning from the UK in 2016, she joined the legal firm Ayub & Co in Selangor and is currently a partner at Zharif Nizamuddin.
