E. Harikumar was an Indian Malayalam novelist and short story writer born on July 13, 1943, in Ponani, Kerala. He was the son of renowned poet Edasseri Govindan Nair and E. Janaki Amma. Harikumar was married twice, first to Lalitha and then to Subha, and he had a son named Ajay. He served as a member of the Kerala Sahitya Akademi from 1998 to 2006. Harikumar passed away on March 24, 2020, at the age of 76 due to COVID-19.
