Eugeniu Hrișcev was a Moldovan economist and professor born on February 6, 1942, in Pelinei, Cahul, Moldovan SSR, USSR. He became a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova in 2000. Hrișcev served as the rector of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova from 1994 to 2001, contributing significantly to economic education and research in the country, until his passing on March 29, 2009.
