E. Ponnuswamy (born 1 July 1936) is a prominent Indian politician who served as a member of the 14th Lok Sabha representing the Chidambaram constituency in Tamil Nadu. He is affiliated with the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) political party. Besides his political career, Ponnuswamy is also an author and translator, having written and translated numerous books.
