Ed Barnes is an English former rugby union footballer born on January 14, 1981, in Banbury. He played as a fly-half for Bristol Rugby, starting his career at Bath and moving to Bedford before joining Plymouth Albion. Barnes made his debut in the Guinness Premiership as a replacement against London Wasps and was later selected for the England Saxons team. Unfortunately, he suffered a ruptured Achilles in 2009, which sidelined him for several months, and he faced further challenges during rehabilitation.
