Ed Christie is an accomplished art director and puppet designer born on May 20, 1956. He began his career as an intern at Henson Associates in 1978 and quickly advanced through the ranks to become Muppet Supervisor for Sesame Street from 1991 to 1996. Later, he held the position of Vice President and NY Muppet Workshop Supervisor. After leaving Henson in 2004, Christie joined Sesame Workshop, where he designs characters for various international versions of Sesame Street. He has received 8 Emmy Awards for his contributions to the series and has also worked on Broadway productions.
