Ed Pinckney is a former American basketball player and current assistant coach, born on March 27, 1963, in The Bronx. He began his professional career in 1985 after being drafted by the Phoenix Suns. Standing at 6 feet 9 inches tall, he had a successful career, winning a gold medal at the 1983 Pan American Games before retiring from playing in 1997. Currently, he is serving as an assistant coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA.
