Edda Trocha, born Schmiedel on September 8, 1949, in Buir, Germany, is a former German athlete specializing in long jump. After the 1972 Olympics saw several jumpers retire, she rose to prominence, becoming the German indoor champion in 1973 with a jump of 6.26 m and winning the outdoor championship with a personal best of 6.43 m. She placed seventh at the 1973 European Indoor Championships. Trocha continued competing, achieving a personal best of 6.46 m in 1976. She later participated in regional competitions for seniors in the 1990s.
