Eddie Ek is a Swedish politician born on October 9, 1995, in Björnekulla, Kristianstad County. He represents the political party Alternative for Sweden. Between November 2014 and March 2018, he served as opposition councilor in Åstorp municipality for the Sweden Democrats (SD). In March 2018, he left the SD and became an independent politician but maintained his affiliation with Alternative for Sweden until the 2018 election when he lost his seat as AfS did not gain any mandates. He was also the 2nd vice chairman of the Sweden Democrat Youth (SDU) for a short period in 2015.
