Rubin gained fame for his performances and recordings in the 1950s to the 1970s with notable artists such as Neil Diamond, Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Johnny Rivers, Dexter Gordon, Ornette Coleman, Paul Revere & The Raiders, and Don Randi.
