He spent most of his career at Vandemoortele Groep, where he held various managerial positions, including General Director of the bakery products division. From 2013 to early 2018, he served as CEO of Milcobel, a dairy cooperative with over 3,000 members and nearly 2,000 employees. In 2008, he became the chairman of Voeding Meetjesland, an organization comprising several major food companies in the Meetjesland region.
