Edén Atanacio Pastora Gómez, also known as Cero or Comandante Cero, was a Nicaraguan guerrilla leader and politician associated with the FSLN (Sandinista National Liberation Front). He was born on January 22, 1937, in Ciudad Dario and passed away on June 16, 2020, in Managua. Pastora played a significant role in the Nicaraguan Revolution of 1978/79 as a Sandinista guerrilla leader and served as Deputy Minister in both the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defense after the revolution's success. He later broke from the Sandinista leadership and led the Contra organization ARDE from 1981 to 1986.
