Edgar 'Egay' Batalla Aglipay, born on September 13, 1948, is a notable Filipino businessman and retired police general. He served as the Chief of the Philippine National Police from August 2004 to March 2005 and is currently the chairman emeritus of the DIWA partylist. Aglipay played a significant role in the 1972 capture of MV Karagatan that thwarted communist insurgents. He has held leadership positions in various organizations, holds degrees in business and law, and was involved in multiple enterprises after his retirement in 2010, especially in security and logistics.
