Edgar Holden was an American politician born on March 24, 1914. He served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1967 to 1975 and later in the Iowa Senate from 1977 to 1989. Holden was a significant figure in Iowa politics, having dedicated a number of years to serving his constituents. His political career was marked by numerous legislative contributions until his passing on August 21, 2001, at the age of 87 due to prostate cancer.
