Edgar Mesikep was an Estonian military officer born on January 9, 1907, in Elva and died on June 23, 1985, in Stockholm. He graduated from Tartu Boys' Real Gymnasium and the Estonian Military Academy, later attending the Estonian Air Force School. He served as an instructor and observer in various aviation units during the interwar period. After fleeing to avoid the Soviet army in 1941, he continued serving in the military and was a prisoner of war in France. He moved to Sweden in the 1950s.
