Edgar Morscher (January 23, 1941 – June 16, 2023) was an Austrian philosopher who taught at the University of Salzburg's Faculty of Cultural and Social Sciences. He earned his Ph.D. in 1969 at the University of Innsbruck with a dissertation on Bernard Bolzano. Morscher specialized in ethics, ontology, philosophical logic, and 19th and 20th-century philosophy. He was a professor at Salzburg University from 1979 and served as rector from 1993 to 1995. He is recognized for his contributions to philosophy, particularly concerning Bolzano.
