Edgar Mountain was a British middle-distance runner, born on April 2, 1901, in Camberwell. He specialized in the 800 meters and was notable for finishing fifth in the 1920 Olympics in Antwerp and reaching the semifinals in the 1924 Olympics in Paris. Mountain won the English Championship over 880 yards in 1921 and 1922, and achieved his personal best time of 1:54.3 minutes on September 21, 1921, in Stockholm. He passed away on April 30, 1985, in Grahamstown, South Africa.
