Edgardo D. Carosella is a French immunologist born on April 9, 1951, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He graduated from the École Normale Supérieure de Professeurs Mariano Acosta in 1968 and obtained his MD from the University of Salvador in 1975. Since 1995, he has been a research director at the Commissariat à l’Énergie Atomique and head of the hematological immunology research unit at Saint-Louis Hospital. He is also the founder and vice-president of the Jean Dausset-CEPH Foundation since 1997.
