Edi Bär (October 17, 1913 – February 11, 2008) was a Swiss bandmaster, composer, and musician from Mänidorf. He started playing the mandolin at age 12 and later learned the clarinet. He founded the band Ländlerkapelle Edi Bär at the age of 20 and composed around 500 dances, with notable pieces including Puurechilbi and Geburtstags-Schottisch. His music was frequently performed by the Pfänniger siblings. Bär also composed for brass bands and made arrangements for clarinet and organ.
