Edi Dežman is a Slovenian ballet dancer and educator born on March 21, 1944, in Selnica ob Dravi. He graduated from the ballet school in Ljubljana and trained further in Cannes and Leningrad. In 1966, he joined the ballet ensemble of the Ljubljana Opera, becoming a soloist in Maribor in 1971. He later led the ballet company there and began teaching ballet. Dežman is known for his technical skills and has choreographed various dramatic and operatic performances, including a ballet based on Marijan Lipovšek's Second Suite for String Orchestra in 1987.
