Edina Pop, born Marika Késmárki on February 4, 1941, in Budapest, is a German Schlager singer of Hungarian descent. She completed her secondary education in Budapest, performing in exclusive hotels and on TV. In 1969, she moved to Germany to pursue a singing career, participating in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1972. She was married to actor Günther Stoll until his death in 1977. Pop joined Dschinghis Khan in 1979, and after their disbandment in 1985, she resumed her solo career, performing hits and jazz and gospel songs until her retirement announcement in 2020.
