Edip Gafarov is a Ukrainian and Russian politician born on May 9, 1952, in Aktaş, Uzbekistan. He has served as the Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea since July 30, 2018, and was a member of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea starting in 2014. His previous roles include Deputy Prime Minister of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea from 2002 to 2005 and a deputy in the Crimean Parliament from 2002 to 2006 and in the sixth convocation from 2010 to 2014.
