Édith Auffray was a French painter and journalist born on January 8, 1901, in Le Raincy near Paris. She studied at الأكاديمية Julian and the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Montparnasse, Paris. In 1955, she joined the artist group Les peintres de la réalité, founded by painter Henri Cadiou. This group included notable artists such as Martin Battersby, Pietro Annigoni, Gregorio Sciltian, Jacques Abeille, and Claude Yvel. Auffray remained active in the art scene until after 1955.
