Sir Peter Edlin Webster was a British barrister and High Court judge, born on 16 February 1924 in Walsall. He served in the Fleet Air Arm during World War II as a pilot. After the war, he attended Merton College, Oxford to study law, and worked for the Imperial Tobacco Company before returning to academia. Appointed to the bench in 1980, he chaired the Judicial Studies Board until 1983 and retired from the bench in 1992, thereafter turning to mediation.
