Edsel K. Schweizer (1923-2003) was a prominent American football coach and college athletics administrator at Luther College in Iowa. Serving from 1952 to 1977, he led the football team to a record of 150–70–6. Starting as backfield coach in 1950, he held multiple roles, including assistant basketball coach, track coach, and dean of students. After a military stint in the Marine Corps, he returned as head coach and also served as athletic director until 1984. His contributions to college sports significantly impacted the institution.
