Eduard Droogleever Fortuijn (1914-1996) was a prominent Dutch lawyer who served as the State Attorney from 1965 to 1981. He co-founded the law firm Pels Rijcken & Droogleever Fortuijn. Born in Oegstgeest, he pursued his law degree at Leiden University and began his legal career in Rotterdam. After World War II service in the Dutch East Indies, he became a partner in a prestigious law firm, eventually leading the firm to focus on state representation. Fortuijn retired at 70, leaving behind a significant legal legacy.
