Eduard Farda was a Czechoslovak footballer, ice hockey player, and primarily a hockey coach. Born on December 26, 1914, in Veselí nad Moravou, he coached the championship Brno club and the Czechoslovak national team. Farda's legacy includes a son, Richard Farda, who is also a hockey coach and former ice hockey player. A memorial plaque was unveiled on December 14, 2009, at his residence in Brno-Židenice, recognizing his contributions to sports.
