Eduard Sharmazanov is an Armenian politician born on November 8, 1975. He has served as Vice President of the National Assembly since June 12, 2011, and was re-elected on May 18, 2017, following the 2017 parliamentary elections. He has also been the spokesperson for the Republican Party of Armenia since 2011. Sharmazanov was arrested on October 12, 2020, along with other opposition leaders, following the Armenian defeat in the Nagorno-Karabakh war, facing charges related to illegal rallies.
