Eduardo Liendo Zurita is a Venezuelan prose writer and librarian born in 1941 in Caracas. He was a political prisoner from 1962 to 1967. Liendo worked as a librarian at the Venezuelan National Library from 1976 to 2001 while also teaching at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello. In 2007, Alfaguara published the Biblioteca Eduardo Liendo, a collection of his major works. He has served as a jury member for international literary prizes, notably the Premio Rómulo Gallegos. Some of his works include 'El mago de la cara de vidrio' and 'Si yo fuera Pedro Infante'.
