Eduardo Mbengani is a Portuguese long-distance and middle-distance runner born on January 8, 1985, in Uíge, Angola. He fled to Portugal as a refugee in 1991 due to civil war. Mbengani began his athletics career in various clubs, notably excelling at G.D.R. Conforlimpa for three years. He faced a suspension in 2011 due to a positive anti-doping test but returned to competition with Sporting Clube de Portugal in 2014. In June 2016, he became the National Champion in the 5000 meters outdoor event.
