Eduardo Vilas Boas Catalão was a Brazilian agronomist and politician, born on January 24, 1912, in Ilhéus, Bahia. He served as Minister of Agriculture under presidents João Café Filho and Nereu Ramos. Catalão was also a Federal Deputy for Bahia and held the position of Secretary of Agriculture in Bahia. He was involved in agricultural and livestock activities after his political career. He passed away on May 1, 2004, in Salvador.
