Edvin Arvidovich Grantovsky (February 16, 1932 – June 28, 1995) was a Russian-Lithuanian Iranologist born in Moscow. He graduated from the History Faculty of Moscow University in 1954 and worked at the Moscow Institute for Oriental Studies until his death, becoming head of the Ancient Oriental Studies section in 1969. His research focused on the history of ancient Iranian tribes, especially the Medes, Persians, and Scythians. He published around a hundred works, with significant findings on the spread of Iranian tribes in Western Asia and their historical contexts, especially during the first millennium BC.
