He inherited his title upon his father's death in 1904 and held various titles, including Earl of Donegall, Earl of Belfast, Viscount Chichester, and Baron Fisherwick, which allowed him a seat in the House of Lords. Additionally, he served as the Hereditary Lord High Admiral of Lough Neagh. He passed away on May 24, 1975.
