He is recognized for his contributions as a cartoonist and inker, particularly for Studio Vandersteen, where he worked on notable series like Bob et Bobette and Le Chevalier rouge. Throughout his career, he also used various pseudonyms, including Drope, Dropy, Pim, and Ro-Cam. De Rop passed away on December 3, 2007, in Borgerhout, also in Antwerp.
