Edwin Augustus Keeble (1905–1979) was a prominent American architect known for his Beaux-Arts training. He designed various structures in Tennessee, including homes, churches, and skyscrapers, with his most notable work being the Life and Casualty Tower in Nashville, completed in 1957. This 31-story tower was the tallest commercial building in the Southeastern U.S. at the time and marked a shift towards modernism. He also favored tall, slender church steeples, earning him the nickname 'Keeble's needles.' Despite an unsuccessful attempt to establish a school of architecture at Vanderbilt University, he briefly taught at the University of Pennsylvania.
