Eeva Tenhunen, originally Eeva Leena Palosuo, was a Finnish crime novelist born on January 2, 1937, in Sortavala and died on June 9, 2017, in Kitee. She graduated with a Bachelor of Humanities from the University of Turku in 1961. Tenhunen is known for her humorous whodunit crime novels featuring Commissioner Martti Halla and his wife Liisa. Her debut novel, 'Mustat kalat' (1964), is set in Olavinlinna, where she herself worked as a guide. Throughout her career, she published several works, including the unique 'Rakas perhe' (1982).
