Efrem Ivanovich Zverkov (February 1, 1921 – July 31, 2012) was a prominent Soviet and Russian painter, graphic artist, and educator, celebrated for his landscape works. Born in Nesterovo, he began painting lessons at an early age and entered the Leningrad Institute of Painting in 1939. A veteran of World War II, he later excelled in the art world, receiving numerous accolades such as the People's Artist of the Soviet Union (1981) and the State Prize of the Russian Federation (1997). His landscapes are characterized by their poetic beauty and artistic depth.
