Egil Johan Ree was a Norwegian journalist and translator, born on December 28, 1936, in Julebygda and passed away on June 24, 2010, in Stavanger. He began working at NRK in 1963 and served as a foreign correspondent in Moscow from 1971 to 1975. Ree was also known for his witty and sarcastic essays on the NRK P1 news magazine Her og nå. His contributions to journalism and storytelling earned him the Kringkastingsprisen in 2001.
