Ei Teramoto (February 15, 1925 - February 7, 1996) was a Japanese biophysicist and a pioneer of mathematical biology in Japan. He was a disciple of Hideki Yukawa and is known for his contributions to biophysics. Teramoto, alongside Tadao Hayashi in astrophysics, significantly impacted the field. In 1965, he became a professor at Kyoto University and served as the president of the Biophysical Society of Japan in 1967. After retiring from Kyoto University, he joined Ryukoku University, where he passed away at the age of 70.
